OFFERINGS

  • Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) is an evidenced-based practice for treating trauma, including Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and Acute Stress Disorder. Essentially, EMDR our brains process and digest difficult experiences and memories, decreasing overwhelm and increasing choice and emotional peace.

EMDR is also emerging as potentially helpful in treating phobias or traumatic origin, Panic Disorder with or without agoraphobia, Major Depressive Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, substance misuse, and a range of somatoform disorders, including chronic pain, epilepsy, chronic eczema, gastrointestinal problems, and Body Dysmorphic Disorder.

  • Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) was created by Marsha Linehan and developed as a treatment for severe emotional, relational, and behavioral overwhelm, which often is associated with Borderline Personality Disorder. However, these symptoms can be experienced by a variety of people and disorders.

Essentially, DBT focuses on helping people learn skills for navigating all emotions, engaging in helpful social behaviors, and managing behaviors. Then, once we have a reasonable handle on our behaviors, we can begin to explore and process the underlying causes of suffering, which often are associated with trauma.

  • Through awareness of the body, we can sharpen our capacity to experience and find meaning in all that life has to offer, ranging from all that is enjoyable to that which is painful.

As a Registered Yoga and Meditation Teacher (RYT-500), I support clients in decreasing overthinking and stress through practicing awakened movements and mindfulness of the body, breath, and mind.
